Leadership Change for Pacific Women’s Soccer

Pacific’s women's soccer team will be undergoing changes regarding their Co-Head Coaches Danesha Adams and J.J. Wozniak. After a season of two wins and seventeen losses, the women's soccer team is headed in a new direction and is parting ways with these coaches.

Adams and Wozniak both started coaching the women’s soccer team in 2020 as assistant coaches with a record of 1-8-3. After the 2020 season, they were both moved to interim co-head coaches in 2021. The 2021 season ended with a regular season record of 10-6-3 and a conference record of 2-5-2. They improved again in the 2022 season with a record of 7-3-10 in the regular season, but unfortunately finished conference games with a 2-5-2 record. In the current season, their record was 2-1-17. They had zero conference wins, and only won one home game.

The Lady Tigers fought hard this season, with their last game on November 9th against Washington State. Despite the hardships of the season, they played their best through each game all the way to the end of their season. Unfortunately, even with the ladies' best efforts, they were losing many of their games. When a team starts to do worse and worse each season, the attention is focused on the coaches and on why their team is not improving. The decision to fire these coaches was due to the decrease in wins throughout the last few years for the women's soccer team.

The women's soccer program has put in fundraising and support in order to get the women at the top of the West Coast Conference where they belong. The athletic program is looking for a new head coach to get our Lady Tigers ready for their next season.

Congratulations to the Lady Tigers with the end of their season and good luck in their journey for a new head coach to start bringing home wins. The women’s team is now in their off-season, preparing for the upcoming season. We will see their hard work in the 2025 fall season along with their new coaches! Good luck ladies, go Tigers!
